“Free Form Weaving” is a one day workshop lead by weaver and textile artist Eta Ingham-Lawrie.
Eta will teach us how to weave with a wide variety of colours and textures using mainly hand-dyed fleece and yarn but also incorporating other found objects such as shells and driftwood, or beads.
The cost includes all materials and use of equipment but you are welcome to bring your own yarn or other materials to incorporate into your own unique wall hanging.
The workshop is open to all, regardless of previous experience.
Eta Ingham Lawrie uses wool to create beautiful knitted and crocheted garments and accessories, notable for their subtle range of colours and textures. She is also a weaver of wall hangings, working much of the time on an upright loom, with an international exhibition history dating back to a show in London in 1964. Eta mainly works with sheep’s wool, which she hand dyes in an amazing range of colours, using both mineral and plant dyes.
